About Me

oct-01-2010-c   I’m a dyed-in-the-wool true blue Kentuckian, born and raised.  Baby Boomer.  Christian wife, Mom, and grandmother.  Writer.  Poet.  Photographer.  Music lover.  Nature lover. My family has been here in this little spot of Heaven since before Kentucky was, well, Kentucky.  I can trace my roots back to John Rolfe and Pocahontas in 1600s Virginia, and German immigrants who tamed the rugged mountains of East Tennessee in the 1700s. I’m proud of my English/German/Native American/African heritage. I am a beautiful patchwork quilt!

  1. Jane, I am so proud of you! What a great idea……I have wanted to have my own blog for such a time; however, I lack the techie savvy to do it. Perhaps you are my inspiration! I love your topic and will be praying for you and Mike as you have your adventures across our great state.

If you ever get to Bardstown, visit the monastery and write about it. That’s one place I long to visit and to stay overnight. Just a thought for you two:)!

    Best blessings! I’m looking forward!

    • Thanks Sue. You’re too kind. I think you’d be awesome doing an advice blog. You are such a wise woman!

Thanks for the idea about the monastery. I’ll definitely put it on my list!
